The Serbian Business Council, with the support of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, opened the first bilateral Serbian Business and Investment Forum in United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, January 25th, 2015.

President of the Serbian Business Council Mr. Ognjen Sujum had the honor to officially open the forum, thus Serbian delegates being welcomed by Mr. Mohammad A. Al Nuaimi, assistant secretary general of Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

“We want to invest wherever there is an opportunity. We are already present in many countries including Serbia, Morocco, Pakistan, Egypt, Brazil and Mexico,” said Mohammad A. Al Nuaimi, assistant secretary general of Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia Charge D’Affaires Mr. Milos Perisic welcomed Serbian and Emirati delegates. “Relations between Republic of Serbia and United Arab Emirates are in ascent and it is of mutual interest to further develop these relations, especially in the field of economy”, said Mr. Perisic adding that Serbia wants to attract as many Emirati investors and companies as possible to invest in Serbia.

More than 30 companies, organizations and municipalities from Serbia took part in the forum, which is taking place in five emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaima, Sharjah) and will close on January 30th, 2015.
